EDC Orlando is three afternoons in the sun that turn into three nights under the lights. That's the whole outfit problem. You walk in at one in the afternoon dressed for heat, and you walk out at midnight dressed for whatever Florida decided to do after dark. I've gone from sweating to freezing at a lot of shows since the warehouse days. The fix has always been the same: dress for the hot part and carry the cold part.
I'm not going to tell you what the weather will be. Look at the real Orlando forecast the week of, not a photo from last year. Then read the event's own rules page for bags and anything you're bringing in. Don't trust a TikTok over the people who run the gate.
The tee does most of the work
For a 1 PM start, the shirt you put on in the hotel is the shirt you'll live in for six hours. Pick one you can sweat in and not hate. That's why our tees come in two weights. Carry a layer for after dark
A November night in Florida might be warm, or the wind might pick up. Either way, you're going to be sweaty when it does. A damp tee in a breeze at midnight, standing in a rideshare line, is the cold nobody packs for. I bring a hoodie I can tie around my waist all afternoon and pull on when the last set ends.
If you're going to carry one, make it the one that helps you find people. The Lost My Friends, Found The Drop Hoodie has the same idea as the tee, a big back print over a laser-lit crowd. - A real meeting spot that isn't "by the main stage." Pick a fixed thing, and give everyone a time to check it.
- Sun protection for the afternoon. Shade at 2 PM isn't a given.
- A dry shirt in the car or the room for the ride home.
